Chicago Fish and Coral Company

This site is new, and I like it... to the point where I wish I had done it! I think the color use is nice, the type works well and the navigation is simple and self-explanatory. A clean site that has nice, clear photos and is designed well.

Interesting Typography
I think the typography on the above is very well "played". When I was at UIC, I had an instructor that encouraged us to cut type out of magazines and newspapers (this was before computers), and place it on a page to convey our intent... a lot has changed since then, but I still think it's an interesting exercise.
Apple Computer
www.apple.com
Consider all the products Apple has...the homepage is beautifully simple, it focus on one major product and then has others below it. The navigation bar is self explanatory and diverse, getting the consumer/viewer to their destination quickly. Apple is a marketing marvel in my opinion, producing computers that are sleek and functional and their webpage follows that idea.
